My name is Ruth Ariel Turtle Sallywan, but you can call me Turtie. I am in my late forties and live alone with my self and my soul. I love life and enjoy each day as if it is my last. I live in the spirit of Buddha and the bohemian kind of life is a big part of me. I can spend hours and hours on knitting. I like it. A lot. I mostly knit thinks you can have on your head. Like the one i'm wearing in the picture. ------->
I work at different places, a bit here and there. I make as much money as I need for living the simple life I have.
I spend my days doing a lot of things. Sometimes I work, I take care of my garden and flowers, I knit, when it is nice weather outside I take long walks in the forest and I really like to just sit down on a parkbench in the sun. I also meditate a couple of times a day.
I like my neighbourhood a lot! The people in the area are very nice and they are all special human beings. Some close friends of mine are Anzhelika and Walther. They live in the apartment above me. We don't use the telephone, I don't even have one, so we use the morse-code. I use a broomstick to connect with Walther and Anzelika. Then we knock to each other about different things. Sometimes we decide where and when we should meet by using the code.
This is my apartment:
My diary: The 12th April
I woke up in the morning and saw the sun shine through my window. The sun must be the most beautiful thing on earth. I love it!
I walked over to my wonderful kitchen and made my self some breakfast. As I sat down on my balcony with my cup of tea and wholegrain sandwich, I saw some of my neighbours walking out in the garden. They were looking up at the trees and had a strange expression on their faces and they were talking to each other. I looked at the trees and saw that they were moving a lot. The breeze was more windy than usual, it made me feel a shiver through my body. Suddenly my parasol was sweeped away by the strong wind and it flew down and landed on something small among the people on the ground.
I realised that it was better to stay inside. I ate my breakfast in the kitchen instead, and then I sat on my rocking chair knitting some new scarfs.
A while later I heard that the wind outside had got worse. Suddenly I felt vibrations from the roof, Anzhelika was moresing me!! I put my horn against the roof, to hear her message. She was "saing":
- It's a big storm outside. We need the hurry down to the basements, it's getting worse!
- I will go there immediately! See you down there!
- In five Turtie, in five.
- Over and out.
I put some things togheter in a basket.
In the basket: my crochet needles, a bunch of yarn, some henna color, a bag of fruit, a chair and a nice, cosy blanket.
I took my basket and went down to the basement.
I got down to the place where I was supposed to meet Anzelika and Walther. I hugged them both and said:
"It's all going to be alright. Just breathe and think about the sun, always think about the sun.."
We walked to a tunnel and saw some people from the neighbourhood infront of us. Anzelika yelled at them, so they stopped and walked with us instead.
At the end of the tunnel we saw some more people. They all seemed very worried. Someone said that we should follow him. So we did that and went through a big tunnel. At the end of it there was a big door. On the door it said: "привет". A Russian man named Vladimir Radojvski said that it meant "Hello" in Russian. Why that word was on the door, I didn't understand.
A guy named Tojojski Radojvski opened the big heavy the door, and welcomed us to what he called, "Big Russian Basement", BRB.
When we all had entered the basement I looked at Anzelika, she seemed frightened by the whole situation and I think she was very worried about Walther.
We stood there and looked around. It was a very big room with a bunch of stuff in it. You could see from the carvings on the walls that the basement was made out of a cave. But it wasn't filthy in there. It was quiet clean and tidy.
Suddenly I noticed that everything was knitted. The sofas, the carpet, the decorations on the walls and the chairs. At that moment, I felt that I was going to enjoy it here, a lot.
This is an armchair that was in the basement. I think I will spend many of my hours in it during the time down here in BRB.
I met people from the neighbourhood in the BRB that I hadn't seen before, I was glad to get to know them all.
I guess you are wondering what we were doing all that time down there, and that, I will tell you!
A guy named Normal Guy said that he could get out of the BRB to get some food. While he was away I took some time for my self. I settled down in a corner with my basket. The chair I found in the BRB was very nice and I spend a lot of time in it. From my basket I took out: crochet needles, some yarn and my bag of fruit. Siri told me once that she would like me to knitte a bandana for her. So I did that while I was sitting in my corner with my fruit.
Good morning starshine, the earth says hello..
